Coffee Fes
A strong stout with Kenyan coffee
A dark, strong beer with freshly roasted Kenyan coffee. Full body, chocolate and caramel in the background, clear coffee bitterness - the 7.5% shows in the density rather than in the alcohol. Silver medal in the flavoured stout category at Kraft Roku 2023.

Silver medal - Kraft Roku 2023
Coffee Fes won a silver medal in the category of flavoured stouts at the Kraft Roku 2023 competition - one of the most important awards of the Polish craft beer scene.
The award recognised uncompromising quality, the balanced pairing of freshly roasted Kenyan coffee with the depth of a Foreign Extra Stout, and an original take on a classic style.
More about Coffee Fes
The Foreign Extra Stout is the stronger version of a stout, once brewed with sea transport in mind - hence the higher alcohol and the bold roasted character. We add freshly roasted Kenya nº2 Karindundu coffee, which brings acidity and a fruity note instead of plain roasted bitterness. The Kraft Roku 2023 jury gave this beer silver in the flavoured stout category.
It works best with desserts - brownie, tiramisu, dark chocolate - but it also holds its own next to grilled meat, game and aged cheeses. In winter you can warm it and drink it like mulled wine. Serve at 10-12°C; straight from the fridge into the glass it loses half its aroma.
Taste
Coffee, dark chocolate and caramel, a full smooth body, coffee bitterness at the end.
Ingredients
Pale Ale malt, caramel 400, roasted barley, dark chocolate malt, wheat malt, Kenya nº2 Karindundu coffee, East Kent Golding and Willamette hops, US-05 yeast.
What to pair it with
Best with something sweet and dark: brownie, tiramisu, dark chocolate. It also holds up next to grilled meat and game, and in winter it can be served warm.
